Privacy Policy

Hamroshare (the “Service”) is operated by Ektukra Creators Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated in Nepal. We're committed to protecting the privacy of our users regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of the information you provide. Reach us at [email protected].

We collect three categories of data:

a. Information you give us directly

• Sign-in details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email, display name, and profile picture from your Google account.
• User-generated content — the symbols, named portfolios, notes, and price alerts you save to your account.
• Support correspondence — anything you email us at [email protected] or send via the contact form.

b. Information collected automatically

• Device & browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, language preference, referring URL.
• Usage data — pages visited, time on page, clicks, search queries on the symbol search.
• Cookies & similar technologies — see Section 4 below.

c. Information from third parties

• Sign-in providers (Google) share verified identity claims with us when you authenticate.
• Advertising partners (Google AdSense) may share aggregate, non-identifying data about ad performance.

• Provide the Service — show user-specific data like your watchlists, portfolios, notes, and alerts; sync the same data with the Hamroshare mobile app on your account.
• Personalised messaging — send you notifications, recommendations and messages based on symbols you track.
• Improve the product — understand which features get used so we can prioritise what to build next. We aggregate / anonymise data before doing analytics.
• Show advertising — Google AdSense uses your data per Section 4 below.
• Legal & security — investigate fraud, abuse, comply with court orders or applicable law.

Stock holdings you add to your portfolio are never shared with anyone else and are only visible to you on your signed-in devices.

We use cookies and similar storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and — with your permission — to serve advertising.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display ads on Hamroshare. AdSense and its partners (including Google's DoubleClick DART cookie) use cookies to:

• Serve ads based on your prior visits to Hamroshare and other sites on the internet.
• Measure ad performance and prevent fraudulent clicks.
• Limit how many times you see the same ad.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies via www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU). Cookie consent

On your first visit we show a cookie banner. Clicking Accept all permits advertising cookies; clicking Reject blocks them. Your choice is stored on your device. You can change it any time by clearing your site data — the banner will reappear.

We rely on these processors. By using Hamroshare you also agree to their privacy policies:

• Google (Sign-In, AdSense, Firebase, Cloud) — policies.google.com/privacy
• Cloudflare (CDN, DDoS protection) — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
• Payment processors (eSewa, Khalti, app stores) — we don't store your payment card data; transactions go directly to the payment provider, who shares confirmation status with us.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing.

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct data that's inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your account and associated data. Email us at [email protected] from your registered address and we'll process the request within 30 days.
• Object to or restrict certain processing (e.g. opt out of personalised ads via Google Ads Settings).
• Port your data — we'll provide a JSON export of your watchlists, portfolios, notes and alerts on request.

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we wipe your records (Firestore user doc, watchlists, portfolios, notes, alerts) within 30 days. Backups are rotated out within 90 days. Aggregated analytics that don't identify you may be retained longer.

Hamroshare is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we'll delete it.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalents apply. Our lawful bases for processing:

• Contract — to deliver the Service you signed up for.
• Consent — for advertising cookies and personalisation (revocable any time).
• Legitimate interest — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, improve the product.
• Legal obligation — when required by applicable law.

Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers outside the EEA. Google's Standard Contractual Clauses cover this transfer. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you're a California resident: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of your data for cross-context behavioural advertising. We don't sell personal information for money. Personalised ads delivered via Google AdSense may qualify as “sharing” under CPRA — you can opt out via the cookie banner or via Google Ads Settings.

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS everywhere, Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Firestore Security Rules for per-user data isolation, Cloudflare WAF for traffic filtering, and rate limits on sensitive endpoints. No system is impenetrable; if we ever detect a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you within 72 hours of confirming it.

Data shown in Hamroshare may not always be 100% up-to-date and correct. We do our best, but markets are noisy and upstream feeds occasionally lag or contain errors. Hamroshare is not liable for any loss arising from data inaccuracies — see our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

We may update this policy as the product changes or laws evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top tracks the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or via in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new policy.
